A military source told SANA that the attack came from the direction of the Mediterranean Sea, causing damage to the airport. A correspondent for Saudi Arabia's Al-Arabiya identified four missiles. No reports of casualties have so far emerged.
Purported footage of the strike showed a massive explosion lighting up the night sky.
Just over a week ago, two pro-Iranian militants were reportedly killed in another alleged Israeli strike, with three Syrian soldiers wounded.
