The IDF' Spokesperson's Unit said in a tweet that there were no injuries as the bus – as is common in Judea and Samaria – was fitted with bulletproof glass and a reinforced exterior.
The military also said the search is still ongoing for the perpetrators of the attack.
This comes a day after two Palestinian Islamic Jihad operatives were killed in an overnight raid by Israeli forces in Jenin, the northern West Bank city that has become a hub for the terrorist group.
Tensions have been on the rise in the West Bank since the IDF launched Operation Breakwater, an extensive counter-terrorism campaign, in response to a series of terror attacks by Palestinians in Israel earlier in the year, in which 19 Israelis were killed. The fighting has intensified even further since two Israelis were killed in a Palestinian bombing attack in Jerusalem.
