News come less than a year after the passing of Pollard's wife Esther, who battled breast cancer for years and died of COVID complications in January.
Pollard and Abrahams-Donin are said to have originally planned to announce their engagement on Wednesday morning, but asked to postpone until after the funeral of Maj. Bar Falah, who was killed in by Palestinian gunmen in an exchange of fire earlier in the day. The two plan to wed in about two months.
Pollard moved to Israel with his late wife, a life-long advocate of his release, in December 2020, after spending 30 years behind bars for espionage, and five years of parole.
