In a video circulated online and apparently shot from his hospital bed, Khalil Awawdeh confirmed that an agreement had been reached for his release, calling it a "resounding victory" for the Palestinian people.
In August, Awawdeh was examined by a doctor, who said he was in critical condition and could die from a range of maladies due to malnutrition.
Awadeh has been on a hunger strike since March to protest his administrative detention. He was imprisoned for ties to the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terror group.
He will remain in an Israeli hospital until fully recovered.
