The relative calm in Kyiv and other parts of Ukraine has prompted Israeli high-tech companies to resume recruitment in the country.

Optimove, which develops marketing technologies for companies with existing customers, currently employs 30 Ukrainians in Kyiv and Vinnytsia, some of whom have been promoted to team leaders.

Due to the war, many companies stopped operating in Ukraine. Optimove has provided its employees with a stable job and salary to be able to support their families and develop their careers.

The company has also accommodated workers who had to relocate for safety reasons or were forced to pause their work due to sirens. Some employees said they had to work through the sirens, and another employee said his house was hit by a shell.

"Our workers know that we support them from afar and that they can take their time," Renana Levin, HR Business Partner at Optimove, said.

The SciPlay gaming company has recently launched a recruitment campaign in Ukraine looking for animators. The company employs 700 employees worldwide, and 52 in the war-torn country in particular.

"We have recently recruited seven Ukrainian employees who joined the company, and as part of the campaign, we will recruit 17 more. We make sure that the Ukrainian employees receive the same conditions as all other employees, including bonuses and welfare benefits."

Mayan Eisner Rosenman, Head of Human Resources at SciPlay said, "In recent months, we have held a number of financial and moral support projects for the citizens of Ukraine in initiatives that came both from the company and from employees around the world."

Digital product demonstration startup Walnut is also recruiting employees from Ukraine. The company boasted of flexibility and understanding of the Ukrainian employees' situation and even helped some to find accommodations.
