Leader of the far-right Otzma Yehudit party Itamar Ben-Gvir, who announced this week that his party would be running independently in the Nov. 1 election, is preparing the party's Knesset list, and has been considering reserving a slot on it for Jonathan Pollard, Israel Hayom has learned.

Pollard, who spent decades in prison after being convicted for spying for Israel, made aliyah two years ago.
Recently, Ben-Gvir met with him and since then has been polling to see how Pollard's name plays with Otzma Yehudit supporters.
Ben-Gvir has also held meetings with several military officials, rabbis, and women in influential positions.
In a tweet on Thursday, Ben-Gvir informed his followers that a "week of surprises" had ended, and another week of surprises would soon begin.
