"There was an electrical malfunction in the galley. One of the flight attendants started running toward the rear galley in panic, and it turned out he'd seen sparks, which led to his panic," a passenger on the flight told Israel Hayom.
The passengers were informed that the plane would be landing in Frankfurt and would not continue to Israel.
While the flight was diverted, the pilot did not declare an emergency and did not have to execute an emergency landing.
