A group of new immigrants from North America landed at Ben-Gurion Airport on Wednesday morning on the first chartered flight since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, with the help of Nefesh B'nefesh, the Aliyah and Integration Ministry, Jewish Agency and Jewish National Fund-USA.

It included 31 families, 99 children, 48 singles, 40 soldiers, 26 doctors and other medical professionals.
Twenty years after Nefesh B'nefesh's first charter flight took off, and 63 such flights later, Wednesday's plane included Israel's 75,000th new oleh, 26-year-old Sam Leeman, who is a medical student.
pon landing in Israel, the new immigrants were greeted with festivities, Israeli flags, balloons and applause.
"A dream come true," one of the new olim said.
The new arrivals included doctors and healthcare workers who moved to Israel as part of a Health Ministry program that allows them to get an medical license even before arriving. The program aims to help them integrate into Israel's medical system as soon and smoothly as possible.
"It's exciting every time to see the new immigrants and their faces when they realize that they fulfilled their dream." Leeman said. "It is a great honor." After arriving at the airport, Leeman traveled to Beersheba, where he will study for a year at the Ben-Gurion University medical school.
