Ben-Gvir has reportedly proposed a full-scale merger, to be co-led with Smotrich, Israel Hayom has learned.
This would be different from two separate parties running on a single ticket, as Ben-Gvir is suggesting the formation of a new party that would share a message, a secretariat, and party institutions.
In response to the report, the Religious Zionist party said, "It's a shame that some people prefer to handle negotiations in the media and damage the public's trust. We'll continue to do everything quietly and behind closed doors to reach unity and have real news for the public as soon as possible."
