Bosnian Serb leader Milorad Dodik on Wednesday received the Friends of Zion Award in honor of his longtime support of his support for the Jewish State. Friends of Zion Museum General Manager Daniel Voiczek and Adv. Nir Kimhi, the director and representative of the museum presented Dodik the award in Jerusalem.

The Friends of Zion Award, was commissioned by the former international Chairman of FOZ, President Shimon Peres. So far It has been given to over 20 world leaders, including former US Presidents.
"It is no secret that I feel a great appreciation for the State of Israel and I simply love the Jewish people, mainly due to the sense of historical partnership that my people went through with the Jews during World War II," Dodik said during the ceremony.
"I am full of appreciation for the many achievements that the State of Israel has achieved in such a short period since its establishment, as well as for the people who were visionary and understood that in order for the Jewish people to survive they must have a state. The FOZ award gives me the strength to continue my efforts for the state of Israel and to establish more cooperation between our two countries in the future."
