A commotion ensued during an Israel Defense Forces military training on Wednesday when left-wing and Arab activists arrived at the scene and interfered with the procedures.

Video circulating on social media showed IDF soldiers shoving and dragging activists in order to clear the area, with some breaking into a fight.
In a statement, the military said that approximately 30 civilians arrived at Firing Zone 918, without prior approval, and were "endangering lives."

"In order to allow the military training to proceed as usual, the IDF soldiers removed the civilians from the scene, and the training continued as planned," it said.

The IDF occasionally holds military exercises in the area that has in recent years been illegally settled by Bedouins. In May, the High Court of Justice ruled to evict around 1,000 such illegal residents.
