Recently, Mizrahi Tefahot launched its BaHevra Tova (In Good Society) center in conjunction with Social Finance Israel Our People, an innovative flagship project that is unique in the social ecosystem. The project includes various activities, some of which the bank held in the past as separate events, but the innovation comes in uniting them under a single roof that provides general knowledge in learning meetings, consultation and personal mentorship to social-focused NGOs and entrepreneurs, as well as competition that promotes innovation.
Participants in the conference included senior figures in the management, innovation, and entrepreneurial sectors in Israel, including Israel Prize laureate and founder of the Haredi College of Jerusalem Adina Bar Shalom; CEO of SFI Yaron Neudorfer, Israel Hayom publisher Dr. Miriam Adelson, and CEO of Bank Mizrahi Tefahot Moshe Lari.
Neudorfer said, "Much like a technological revolution, the impact revolution is being led by a young generation that wants to fix the world and is using its power to right wrongs, close gaps, increase environmental awareness, and more. As consumers, we all have the power to influence the big money in the market through pension funds."
Yasmin Lukatz, Executive Director of ICON – Israel Collaboration Network, said, "Code for Israel brings high tech workers' abilities and volunteer spirit on board to create technological solutions to the most important issues in Israeli society.
"One of our most exciting projects is in cooperation with SFI, where we created a system that reviews all the databases of NGOs and gives them a social grade based on their financial position. As a donor, I can receive important information that will allow me to direct money toward the most correct social organizations," Lukatz said.
