The bag is said to have accidentally been disposed of by an employee of a Ramat Gan-based diamond trading business.
When workers realized that the bag was missing, the Hiriya Recycling Park and the Ramat Gan municipality mobilized to locate the truck in charge of disposal at the time. After it was located, the truck was sent it to a special compound, where was scanned to locate the diamonds.
A diamond dealer present at the scene confirmed it was the bag in question. It was later returned to its rightful owners.
