According to a report in the Iranian news outlet Tasnim, Ali Kamani died in a car accident in the city of Kohmein, south of Tehran, "while fulfilling his duty."
Kamani has spent "year of tireless work on behalf of the Islamic Revolution and its values," the report said. Iran International said Kamani had been working in the Markazi province.

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has reportedly extended his condolences to Kamani's family.
Hours after Kamani's death was made public, Iranian news agencies reported that another member of the IRGC's Aerospace Unit, Mohammad Abdous, had also been killed. Iran International claimed Abdous, who had been working in Iran's Northern Semnan Province, had been killed "while on a mission."
Social media users were skeptical about the official versions of events, given a series of targeted killings of Iranian military commanders and scientists, some of which have been attributed to Israel.
A week ago, Iranian missile engineer Dr. Ayood Entezari died after allegedly being poisoned at a dinner party. In May, IRGC Col. Hassan Sayyad Khodaei was shot to death outside his home in the heart of Tehran
