As IDF troops and equipment entered the village of Ya'bad, south of Jenin, local mosques began issuing calls for residents to come out and push the "army of occupation" back. Clashes erupted, with both sides firing shots and the Palestinians throwing rocks at soldiers.

One Palestinian was killed and later identified as Bilal Kabha, 24. Pictures of him on social media showed a picture of the gun he carried. Palestinian officials said Israel was fully responsible for the "crime of Bilal Kabha's execution." Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh condemned it as "an ugly crime committed by the occupation in Jenin" and demanded that the international community drop its "double standards" and impose sanctions on Israel.
Six others were wounded. The Palestinian Health Ministry claimed that one of the wounded had sustained gunshots to his neck, abdomen, and face.
Palestinian Islamic Jihad official Khader Adnan congratulated the residents of Ya'bad and jenin, saying, "We have stood up to the occupation and defended the homes of the shahids' families."
Hamas spokesman in the Gaza Strip, Abdel Latif al-Qanoa, said, "The riots in Ya'bad emphasize the ability of our people to repel the crimes of the occupation. Jenin will remain unbreakable and continue its resistance against the occupation until our land is swept clean."
On Wednesday, a Palestinian woman – Rafaran Warasneh, 31 – who charged soldiers at Al-Aroub Junction holding a knife was fatally shot. None of the soldiers were wounded.
The IDF Spokesperson's Unit said in a statement: "A report was received about an attempted stabbing attack near the Al-Aroub refugee camp in the area under the jurisdiction of the Etzion Brigade. A female terrorist armed with a knife advanced toward an IDF soldier who was safeguarding Highway 60. The force responded by opening fire. There are no wounded among our forces, the terrorist was neutralized."
The PA Foreign Ministry condemned the killing as a "field execution" and denied that she had posed any risk to the soldiers or tried to attack them.
"She was en route to her work and there were no incidents there or danger to the criminals," the ministry said in a statement.
