The first-of-its-kind agreement between the two countries will forge cooperation in the fields of artificial intelligence, agricultural technologies, water management and desalination, food processing technologies, biotechnology, renewable energy, medical technology, the pharmaceutical industry, smart cities, information technology, the motor vehicle industry, space, as well as in the humanities, social studies, and environmental studies, among others.
A working team of professionals from both countries will be established to implement the technological accord.
The agreement includes, among other things, the joint funding of projects in the fields of research and development, seminars, and scientific encounters.
The accord was the third in the technology field signed by Farkash-Hacohen with a signatory to the Abraham Accords. She has previously signed agreements on cooperation in the field of space with representatives from the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain.
In a statement, Farkash-Hacohen said: "Governments sign agreements, but people make the peace. I welcome the opportunity to come to Morocco following the Abraham Accords and sign an important agreement on bilateral cooperation."
Miraoui said the agreement "will allow us to foster cooperation between our universities through joint scientific research programs, student exchange programs, and through the sharing of knowledge sharing on best practices. I am completely convinced this partnership will open the door to greater opportunities in the future."
