Three Palestinians infiltrated an IDF post in the Binyamin sector in Samaria, the military confirmed on Thursday. They fled after a female Border Police officer spotted them near the troops' quarters.

The military said that the investigation into the incident revealed that the Palestinians were unarmed and most likely sought to steal munitions from the post.
A senior Border Police officer said the incident was "a serious security failure that could have had dire results" were the Palestinians seeking to commit a terrorist attack.
"The Border Police view this incident as very serious and a full review of the security measure and base protection has been ordered," a police statement said.
