Terrorist Daoud Zubeidi, who was wounded in an IDF raid in Jenin on Friday, has died, the Rambam Medical Center in Haifa confirmed Sunday.

Zubeidi, 40, was the brother of Zakaria Zubeidi, the notorious former commander of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, Fatah's military wing. He was reportedly among a dozen gunmen injured Friday in a brutal gunfight in the West Bank city between Israeli security forces and Palestinian terrorists, during which an Israeli officer was also killed.
Ramallah's Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed the death, as did the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades.
Zubeidi was initially hospitalized in Jenin suffering what Palestinian media described as gunshot wounds to the abdomen. His condition deteriorated and Israel reportedly agreed to the local hospital's request to have him moved. He was transferred by a Palestinian ambulance to the Gilboa crossing, where he was moved to an Israeli ambulance and taken to Rambam.
After Zubeidi was moved to the Israeli hospital, the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades warned that if any harm came to him, it "will open the fire of hell in the face of the Zionist enemy and herds of criminal settlers."
The IDF has been increasing its operations in Jenin, a known Islamic Jihad stronghold, over the past few weeks over the uptick in terrorist attacks in Israel. The recent wave of terror, which erupted in March, has so far claimed the lives of 19 Israelis.
