The head of Public Health Services at the Health Ministry has filed a police complaint after anti-vaxxers demonstrated outside of her Haifa home on Monday.

Demonstrators with a megaphone confronted Elroi Preiss while she was out walking her dog.

In a video of the encounter filmed by the protesters, anti-vaxxer Sadi Ben Shitrit is seen saying, "Agent of chaos, Elroi Preiss. She takes wonderful care of her dog, but when it comes to her children, she has no problem … It's fine if her children die, for our children to wear masks for two years. Right, Sharon?"

Later in the video, Ben Shitrit can be seen shouting obscenities at a neighbor who physically approached him and asked him to quiet down.

Police are examining videos posted to social media that raise suspicions of threats and harassment. Police officials said they viewed with severity such conduct toward a public official outside of her private residence

The assessment is that police will issue a restraining order against specific demonstrators to keep them from coming into close proximity with Elroy Preiss. She may also be afforded additional security.
