The Nature and Parks Authority is bracing for the hundreds of thousands of Israelis expected to picnic and hike across its parks and reserves over Passover.

"So far, about 320,000 hikers have registered with the parks, and we estimate a similar number will also arrive without registering in advance," the authority said in response to an inquiry by Israel Hayom.
"We expect 600,000 visitors to paid sites, and hundreds of thousands of more to open areas. The goal is to reach the same number of travelers as last year: 1.2 million.
The authority estimated the most crowded sites will be Ein Gedi, Caesarea, Masada, Nahal Ayun, Eshkol National Park, and others.
