A month before Passover, which sees a rise in Israelis' consumption of poultry, poultry prices are expected to rise by some 10%.

Motti Elkabetz, director general of the Israel Poultry Breeders Association, said, "I don't know of any expected price hike. However, the price of feed has almost doubled. The price of poultry to the customer is determined by supermarket chains, not the farmers."
