A 38-year old man was lightly wounded on Saturday in a stabbing attack in Hebron near the Tomb of the Patriarchs. The perpetrator, a 65-year-old Palestinian woman, from the nearby town of Idhna, was taken for questioning.

A statement by the Israel Police said the victim fought the attacker until officers arrived at the scene and subdued her without opening fire.
Hebron – considered holy by both Jews and Muslims – is a frequent flashpoint for violence.
The last few weeks have seen an increase in Palestinian terror attacks, with 25-year-old Yehuda Dimantman shot in Judea and Samaria, and four taking place in Jerusalem alone, including the deadly shooting committed by Hamas-affiliated Fadi Abu Shahidam, in which 26-year-old Eliyahu David Kay was killed.
