Former MK Rabbi Eliezer Waldman died on Saturday. He was 84.
Waldman, the founder and president of the Nir Kiryat Arba Hesder Yeshiva, was a prominent figure in the national-religious community. He was among the leaders of the settlement movement in Judea and Samaria, and one of the founders of the Jewish community in Hebron

Waldman was also one of the founders of the Tehiya party and served as a lawmaker in the 11th and 12th Knessets, from 1984 to 1990.
His funeral is slated to take place on Sunday afternoon. Waldman is survived by his wife and eight children.
