The Israeli high-tech sector's battle to attract talent has moved to a new phase, with autonomous robots, including the robot dog SPOT from robotics design and engineering company Boston Dynamics, joining the effort.

Posters have been put up at the Modi'in train station and in surrounding towns featuring the slogan, "Traffic jams are so Low Tech." The campaign is the work of drone developer Modi-in-based Percepto Autonomous Solutions, which is seeking to entice developers who currently spend their mornings in arduous commutes to Tel Aviv or Herzliya to take jobs at a company closer to home.
The ads show SPOT carrying Percepto's system, symbolizing the cooperation between Percepto and Boston Dynamics.
Percepto, a world leader in the autonomous drone sector. It decided to establish its R&D center in Modi'in. The center currently has a staff of over 130 and is in the process of expanding and hiring dozens of new workers, with an emphasis on program, artificial intelligence (AI), and electronics developers.
Yael Wolinitz Kitzis, VP of Human Resources at Percepto, said, "The campaign is designed to underscore the advantages of Percepto to high-tech people in the Modi'in area. Today, there is competition to recruit talented people who will help companies grow. We chose to emphasize our advantage as an innovative technology company with a location attractive to people nearby, that creates a workplace that is challenging and fun, as well as close to home."
