Cybertech NYC is the international leg of the Israeli-founded conference. It featured a grand exhibition hall, cutting-edge conference symposiums, and sector-specific special events.
Cybertech was founded by veteran Israeli defense correspondent Amir Rapaport in 2014. Immediately upon its inception, the annual conference gained a reputation of being the perfect place to foster existing business connections and create new opportunities with a wide range of sectors and entities, including government, industry, and academia.
"It's not about Israel, it's about the cyber world," Rapaport said.
Yigal Unna, the head of Israel's National Cyber Directorate, former Mossad Director Tamir Pardo, and Communications Minister Yoaz Hendel, attended the New York conference, alongside UAE Cybersecurity chief Mohammed al-Kuwaiti and the kingdom's Police Telecommunications head Hamad Khalifa Al Nueimi.
From the American faction, former CIA director David Petraeus, former US Cyber Command chief Michael Rogers, and Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams addressed the conference.
Past Cybertech conventions in Israel saw a turnout of some 20,000 visitors.
Governments around the world began asking the defense analyst to bring the forum to their land, leading to Cybertech in Tokyo, Singapore, and Rome among others.
"But because Israel is very important in this specific domain, it's considered to be the second-largest cyber event in the world."

The next Cybertech Conference and Exhibition in Tel Aviv will take place in January 2022.
