The competition, held as part of the International Judo Federation's Grand Prix series, saw the Israeli team rank third overall out of 45 competing nations, with Japan topping the slate and Russia a close second.
Culture and Sports Minister Chili Tropper congratulated the athletes on their accomplishments, saying Hershko "again proved she is an amazing athlete. Congratulations on your Paris Grand Slam gold medal. Raz, your accomplishments are the fruits of hard work and a long journey.
Congratulating Lanir Tropper said, "You are both a huge inspiration for every girl and teenager in Israel."
The team's coach, Shani Hershko, said, "I'm so happy that the athletes' hard work paid off. We have amazing and committed athletes and there is no more worthy reward than winning medals. I hope these achievements will only be the opening shot for the rest of the way.
"The women's team continues to make history and raise the bar by winning three medals in this prestigious competition for the first time."
