Likud MK Miri Regev on Tuesday called on Attorney General Avichai Mendelblit to launch an investigation against Intelligence Services Minister Elazar Stern.

Stern sparked a public outcry this week, after saying that while serving as head of the IDF's Manpower Directorate, he ignored sexual harassment complaints that were made anonymously. "The shredder worked very fast," he said.
Regev, a former IDF spokesperson, demanded that Stern face a police investigation over his actions. Mendelblit informed her on Tuesday that he had tasked the State Attorney's Office to review whether that was, indeed, warranted.
Following the public outcry, Stern told fellow Yesh Atid members that he "misspoke" and has been "misconstrued." He insisted that he never ignored sexual harassment complaints filed with his office.
