"Stop hiding it from us – whoever injects [the COVID vaccine] is putting themselves in danger," said Sadi Ben Shitrit, a leading opponent of Israel's COVID vaccination campaign, who has reportedly now contracted the virus.

In another post, he wrote: "Keep injecting, keep lying, keep it up until the truth comes to light."
Ben Shitrit accused the media of giving "the experiment" a tailwind.
According to some of Ben Shitrit's friends, his condition was improving late Wednesday after a few days of serious illness.
Prior to taking a stance against the COVID vaccine, Ben Shitrit was a notable figure in the protests outside the Prime Minister's Residence in Jerusalem that called for former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to step down.
"I'm not in touch with him directly. As far as I knew a week ago, he was fine. It's important for me to note that he [Ben Shitrit] doesn't represent the Balfour protesters, the vast majority of whom are vaccinated and not spreading fake news," one political activist told Israel Hayom.
Ben Shitrit, who is active on various social media platforms, posted on Sept. 23 that he was taking some "time off for himself."
