A statement by the armed group said it had brought down the drone on the outskirts of the village of Yater by targeting it with "suitable weapons."
"A short time ago, during routine activity, an IDF drone fell within Lebanese territory. The incident is being investigated," the IDF tweeted.
In February, Hezbollah claimed it had intercepted an Israeli drone in Lebanese airspace, and the IDF confirmed that an Israeli UAC had fallen inside Lebanon.
Hezbollah's Al-Manar TV reported the February incident and said that the drone was shot down after it entered Lebanon's air space and crashed in the village of Blida, near the border with Israel.
According to the IDF, the drone that fell in February had been on "operational activity" along the Lebanese border and the crash posed "no risk of an information breach."
In April and August of this year, the IDF intercepted Hezbollah-operated drones that penetrated Israeli airspace.
