The lesson is "don't try to force anything on Israel," Erdan told i24NEWS senior US correspondent Mike Wagenheim at a UN event in New York City marking the one year anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Jewish state and the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain at a White House signing ceremony on September 15, 2020.
Morocco and Sudan later joined the accord.
At the UN event, Erdan said: "The moderate countries in the Middle East must unite to tackle our shared challenges, such as climate change, and form a regional alliance to confront our shared threats, first and foremost, Iran," he said.

"Such an alliance could share intelligence about different threats and even collaborate on defensive capabilities. Can you imagine Israeli air defense systems like Iron Dome protecting the airspace of our new partners in the Gulf? Maybe one day even Saudi Arabia."
The Abraham Accords "create momentum, and it's up to our leaders and our people to work on that to build for establishing peace and also for bringing hope and bringing an end to all kinds of violence, extremism, and wars," Omar Hilale, Morocco's ambassador to the UN, told Wagenheim at the event.

Nearly 70 UN ambassadors participated in the event, held at the Museum of Jewish Heritage in lower Manhattan and co-hosted by the Permanent Missions of Israel, the UAE, Bahrain, and Morocco to the United Nations.
Ambassadors from the US, UAE, Bahrain, and Morocco all took to the stage to deliver remarks, along with Erdan.
On Tuesday, the celebrations will continue in Washington with an event hosted by the Abraham Accords Institute for Peace, launched by former senior Trump advisor Jared Kushner and other senior government officials involved in the striking the deal. Likud MK Ophir Akunis and Blue and White MK Ruth Wasserman Lande, the chairpersons of the Knesset Caucus for promoting the Abraham accords, were also set to attend.
In October, former US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman will launch the Friedman Center for Peace Through Strength to expand on the Abraham Accords.
Biden administration officials are also expected to attend the celebrations.
Also Tuesday, Bahrain's new ambassador to Israel Khaled Yousef al-Jalahmah was posed to submit his diplomatic credentials to President Isaac Herzog, Tuesday, thereby officially entering his new role.
