The head of Hamas' military wing Mohammed Deif issued a rare recording to mark the 16th anniversary of Israel's pullout from the Gaza Strip and northern Samaria.
During the recording, which was accompanied by a silhouette, Deif could be heard saying: "Just like you say 'go to hell,' you left Gaza because it was hell for you, and tomorrow we will turn all of Palestine into hell for you."
Deif is the mastermind behind numerous terrorist attacks that have killed dozens of Israelis and has been on Israel's most-wanted list for over 25 years. He has escaped at least five Israeli attempts on his life, which have left him crippled.
In the latest Gaza conflagration, Deif was also targeted twice by Israel. During the recent Gaza fighting, he released another recording, threatening Israel with dire consequences if it does not give in to Hamas' demands.
Hamas placed new demands on Israel for future prisoner swaps on Sunday. A spokesman for the terrorist group said that Israel must include the 6 Palestinians who have recently broken out of prison, four of which had since been captured. That saga has led to an increase in tension between Israel and Hamas due to repeated rocket fire.
