World-renowned sculptor and 2004 Israel Prize laureate Igael Tumarkin passed away on Thursday afternoon.
Tumarkin came to fame in Israel in the 1906s. His creations included sculptures, paintings, and playsets, some of which he used to protest war and violence.
Several of his sculptures, as well as massive monuments, are stationed nationwide, including in Tel Aviv's Rabin Square.
Tumarkin is survived by his wife and three children. Information on his funeral has yet to be released.
