The think tank used the number of 234 Gaza casualties taken from different estimates ranging between 240 and 260. Out of the 234 killed, 112 were associated with Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and other terrorist groups.
The report speculated that another 11 men ages 17-40 might be associated with terrorist groups but the information is not conclusive.
The report identified 52 Palestinian children, 38 women and five elderly people over the age of 70 as being killed during the conflict, noting that many were family members of terrorists while others lived near terrorist targets and likely died indirectly as a result of Israeli strikes.
A total of 21 Palestinians died from misfired rockets launched by terrorist groups from the Gaza Strip, according to the report.
In addition, the report stated that five Palestinians died in causes unrelated to Israel Defense Forces (IDF) strikes on Gaza or rocket misfires.
Shortly after the ceasefire with Hamas took hold, the IDF summarized Operation Guardian of the Walls, saying that it destroyed more than 100 kilometers (62 miles) of Gaza's terrorist tunnel network during the 11 days of fighting and killed some 225 Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad members, including 25 senior commanders.
