The Health Ministry is expected to lift restrictions on flying to Turkey, Ethiopia and Ukraine as soon as June 13 due to the waning of the COVID pandemic.
Should the cabinet uphold this ministerial decision, it could have major implications on many Israelis, in part because of connecting flights to other parts of the world.
There are still several countries that are considered off-limits to Israelis under the ministry's guidelines. These include Mexico, South Africa, Argentina, Brazil, Russia and India.
