Speaking at a conference hosted by Habithonistim–Protectors of Israel NGO, Gold said, "The bottom line is that no matter which government is formed, the Israeli government will not relinquish defensive borders in the Jordan Valley. The threat from the east has not stopped and may take on a different character under Iranian influence."
In his remarks at the conference, Gold warned of a possible return to the nuclear agreement and its additional price - the Iranian desire to close the choke ring on Israel from the east, Jordan.
