IDF forces were scrambled to the Lebanon border fence overnight Sunday after a two people were spotted trying to breach the fence and cross into Israeli territory.

Initially, the suspects were thought to be two illegal migrants from Sudan. IDF forces let off several flash bombs to illuminate the area where they had been seen. Helicopters were called in to help the search.
Residents of nearby communities, including moshavs Betzet and Shlomi and Kibbutz Hanita, were ordered to stay inside. Several roads were barricaded during the incident.
Following sweeps of the area, the IDF said that the breach was not an attempted terrorist attacks and informed residents of communities in the vicinity that they were free to go about their business.
The IDF has handed the search for the infiltrators over to the Israel Police.
