A combined operation of the IDF and Israel Police earlier this week foiled a smuggling operation bringing illegal goods into the country from Lebanon.
The successful operation turned up 15 firearms and almost 80 pounds of hashish and resulted in the arrests of several suspects.

The contraband was estimated to be worth NIS 2 million ($616,000). A father and son were arrested in connection to the smuggling.
Israeli security forces are examining whether Hezbollah, which controls much of south Lebanon's frontier region opposite Israel, was involved in the smuggling.
