Senior Hamas official Fathi Hamad said that "with the end of the Israeli regime's latest aggression, the Palestinian resistance has resumed the process of rocket production," according to a report by the Washington Free Beacon.
"Our factories and workshops have restarted producing thousands of rockets to stop [Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu's intransigence in Al-Quds [Jerusalem] and Tel Aviv," Hamad said, according to the Washington Free Beacon report.
Despite Israel's efforts to wipe out the Islamist terrorist group's rocket arsenal and network of tunnels, these comments show the infrastructure and the threat remain.
Hamas launched over 4,000 rockets at Israel during Operation Guardian of the Walls.
Despite the ceasefire in place, a senior Hamas leader insisted: "This war will last forever."
