An IDF intelligence officer jailed last year while awaiting trail in a classified case died while in a military detention center.

According to available details, the officer, who was arrested in September 2020 and was awaiting trial, was hospitalized in critical condition on the night of May 16-17, but doctors were unable to save him.
The Military Police are investigating the incident. A gag order has been placed on the investigation into the circumstances of the officer's death.
