Romania, one of the most popular tourist destinations for Israeli travelers, will open its borders to Israeli citizens starting at the beginning of June, the Romanian government announced Friday.

Israelis vaccinated against the COVID virus will not need to be tested prior to entry, nor will Israelis who have recovered from COVID-19 in the 90 days before their arrival in Romania.
Israelis who have not been vaccinated or recovered from the virus will need to provide proof of a negative COVID test taken no more than 72 hours prior to their departure.
