The companies on the list operate in fields ranging from insurance to artificial intelligence orchestration to metrics management.
Here are this season's cool Israel vendors, according to Gartner:
VOOM, founded in 2016, is a full-stack digital InsurTech company that specializes in creating and distributing innovative insurance products for new-mobility segments. Voom's data-driven, usage-based insurance products are designed for various high-risk, episodic-use mobility verticals, including drones, e-scooters, e-bikes, motorcycles, and light planes. VOOM is a licensed insurance broker in all 50 US states.
"We are honored to be recognized as a Gartner Cool Vendor," said VOOM co-founder and CEO Tomer Kashi. "Our mission is to ensure that both insurance providers and customers have the right technology in place to experience the most flexible insurance options possible. We believe that InsurTech has the potential to change mobility and many other aspects of our lives."
Run:AI, founded in March 2018, acts as an operating system for artificial intelligence (AI) and runs the world's first compute-management platform for orchestrating and accelerating AI. The startup provides visibility and control over resource prioritization and allocation while simplifying workflows and removing infrastructure hassles for data scientists. Run:AI allows an entire organization to get full use out of its hardware, rather than having GPUs sitting idle or utilized only at a fraction of their power.
Lightrun, founded in 2019, offers developers deeper insights into their live applications by allowing them to insert logs, metrics and traces during runtime. The company is ISO-27001 certified. Gartner named Lightrun a Cool Vendor in Monitoring, Observability and Cloud Operations.
Apiiro was named a Cool Vendor in DevSecOps. Apiiro takes an entirely new approach to DevSecOps that gives organizations visibility and control over their risk, from design to code to cloud. Apiiro is the first and only DevSecOps platform that can identify risky material changes before production to conduct contextual threat models, penetration tests, security code reviews, and compliance reviews.
"It's so hard to invent something completely new that changes existing markets! We are thrilled to be recognized as a Gartner Cool Vendor in DevSecOps," said Apiiro CEO Idan Plotnik.
"Before Apiiro, it was impossible to understand the risk from Design to Code to Cloud because AppSec, Cloud Security, and Risk Management tools lack context and visibility across application, open source and infra-as-code, developers' knowledge, business impact, and on-prem and cloud applications," Plotnik added.
