Jews and Muslims in Dubai gathered together Thursday to celebrate the holiday of Lag B'Omer. Rabbi Levi Duchman of the local Jewish Community Center posted a video on social media capturing the event.

The celebrations are one of many positive developments that came about after the Abraham Accords, which saw the United Arab Emirates, as well as Bahrain, Sudan, and Morocco normalized ties with the Jewish state in late 2020 and early 2021.

Jews in Iran celebrated Lag B'Omer as well.
Videos posted on social media showed members of the Tehran Jewish community dance around a bonfire, as is customary on this holiday.
This, two weeks after reports that authorities were considering closing down several synagogues "on suspicions of Zionist activity."
