To this end, the Tourism Ministry is planning to launch outreach campaigns in three major cities: Dubai, New York, and London.
The destinations have been selected based on their vaccination rates as well as the prospects for inbound tourism for the Jewish state.
While tailored to local audiences, the campaigns will ultimately promote one message: Israel is a safe destination with a lot to offer.
"Israel today is a world leader in safety and health, and we will make sure every potential tourist knows this when planning their summer or winter vacation," Tourism Minister Orit Farkash-Hacohen said Tuesday at a press event.
"I have no doubt, we will see many tourists from all three countries within a short period of time," she added.
Israel is also set to hold a number of international events this year, including the 2021 Pride Parade in Tel Aviv, the special Abraham Cycling Cup tour, which will see Israel and the UAE co-host the annual Tour of Dubai race, and a music festival in the Timna Park near Eilat.
