The cost of natural gas in Israel is among the lowest in western countries, standing at $4.80 per BTU, compared to nearly $7 per BTU in France, the Netherlands, and Germany, according to data from the Energy Ministry and international organizations processed by the Association of Oil and Gas Exploration Industries in Israel.

Australians pay a rate similar to the cost of natural gas in Israel, and only the US provides gas at lower cost – slightly below $3 per BTU.
