An Israeli-owned ship was hit near the Strait of Hormuz off the United Arab Emirates coast, the Hezbollah-affiliated Lebanese outlet Al Mayadeen, reported on Tuesday.
The ship is reportedly partially owned by Israeli businessman Rami Ungar, and has been navigating the seas under the name Hyperion Ray on its way from Kuwait to the UAE's Port of Fujairah, where it is now currently docked.

It has been operating under the flag of the Bahamas for the past six years.
There is speculation that Iran may have been behind it, and specifically the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps.
An Israeli Transportation and Road Safety Ministry spokesman said he was aware of the reports but that he could not confirm them. There was no immediate confirmation from the UAE.
Abraham Ungar, 74, who goes by "Rami," is the founder of Ray Shipping Ltd., and is known as one of the richest men in Israel. He made his fortune in shipping and construction.
In February, a similar incident happened with the giant MV Helios Ray, a Bahamian-flagged roll-on, roll-off vehicle cargo ship, as it was sailing along the Omani coast toward the Arabian Sea, according to satellite-tracking data from website MarineTraffic.com, days after docking in Dubai for repairs. That ship is also owned by Ungar.
In late March an Israeli ship was reportedly targeted by missiles in the Arabian Sea.
