"After a search ordered by the investigative police of the prosecution, a certain Vanessa N. suspected of being linked to the death of two people of foreign origin in July 2019 was arrested," the Mexico City prosecutor's office said Friday on Twitter.
According to local media reports, authorities believe the woman masterminded the double murder.
The Israeli Embassy had identified the two Israelis as Alon Azulay, 41, and Benjamin Yeshurun Sutchi, 44, both of whom had "criminal records in Israel and Mexico."

At the time, the local prosecutor's office said that according to the primary evidence in the investigation, the killings were likely the result of a criminal vendetta.
The female suspect, reportedly disguised in a blonde wig at the time of the attack, initially told police the shooting was a crime of passion.
However, Ulises Lara, a spokesman for prosecutors in Mexico City, told reporters at the time that authorities had reason to believe the shooting was a "targeted assassination" against rival crime figures.
