Over the course of this year, Woman2Woman will be responsible for running a program to train women for these roles and help integrate them into R&D jobs. The project plans to cooperate with leading Israeli high tech firms, including tech giants such as Microsoft, Salesforce, Dell, and General Motors.
Program manager Michal Krymolowski says that the project is mainly aimed at women who have technical education or professional experience in technology who are not currently working in high tech but want to rejoin the sector. The program plans to offer meetings with managers of high-tech companies, who will talk about how program participants can best reintegrate into tech jobs as well as meet with them individually.
W2W co-founder Keren Herscovici said, "In the past few years, the number of women working in high tech jobs has grown, including senior managers and entrepreneurs. But when it comes to R&D, which is the vanguard of Israeli high tech, there are very few women despite companies' attempts to reach gender balance. The program will help integrate women into these jobs in leading companies."
