The Israel Police on Sunday night arrested two suspects charged with stealing an IDF soldier's weapon and lightly wounding him during a training exercise last week.

According to the police, an intensive and complex investigation led detectives to the suspects' hideout near the village of Zubaydat in the Jordan Valley, where they also found ammunition in their possession.
Both suspects are 25 years old and hail from the Bedouin village of Ibtin in northern Israel.
According to some reports, one of the suspects is a discharged soldier. They will be brought before the Magistrates Court in Nazareth on Monday morning for a hearing on the police's request to extend their detention.
The incident occurred on Wednesday night during a solo navigation exercise near Shfar'am in northern Israel.
