Noam discovered Yael's love of crossword puzzles when the two worked together at the same café and would collect the newspapers and solve crosswords together at the end of each shift.
Kapah took Sharabani's love of crossword puzzles to the next level when he contacted Ofir Shamir, the man behind the puzzles, who then spoke with Israel Hayom staff about the possibility of having a unique proposal clue for Yael.

"A few weeks ago, Noam contacted me with a request. Yael, his girlfriend, really likes Israel Hayom's crossword puzzles. He wanted to propose with a puzzle like the one in Israel Hayom. So I wrote the puzzle for him, which included a few terms related to Yael, and two consecutive words that formed the words: Yael, will you marry me," Shamir said.
"The amazing thing was contacting Israel Hayom. I proposed they publish the crossword, that way Yael would see the proposal in the most surprising way possible, and the entire country solved the crossword for Yael this week," he said.
"We've known each other all our lives," Shabani said. "We were always good friends, and we even worked together for a few years, and that's when we started our tradition of solving crossword puzzles together. But after we started dating, it became this custom of ours. And now Noam makes sure to bring the newspapers home so that we can keep the tradition going."
