The new passenger hall will smooth and improve passenger flow at the HaShalom Station, which serves 50,000 to 60,000 passengers daily. Built by Israel Railways' Operations Division at a cost of about NIS 100 million ($35 million), the new hall is an almost identical replica of the old one.
It includes two elevators and two escalators, as well as two stairways, a restroom area, and a café. The new terminal, like all of Israel Railways' stations, is fully accessible to passengers with disabilities.
